Colson Whitehead is the author of three novels and one book of essays. His most recent, Sag Harbor, is about a group of teenagers hanging out on Long Island during the summer of 1985. He is the recipient of a MacArthur Fellowship and was a finalist for the Nation Book Critics Circle Award and the Pulitzer Prize. His essays have appeared The New Yorker, The New York Times, New York Magazine, Harpers, and Granta.
