Michael Gruber has been a full-time freelance writer since 1990. His first novel under his own name, Tropic of Night, was published in 2003. Since then he has published Valley of Bones, Night of Jaguars, The Book of Shadows, The Good Son, The Witch's Boy (a children’s book), The Fogery of Venus, and his most recent, The Returned.
